Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

Mazhar Mohammad of Chartviewindia.in said technical indicators are turning mixed as the weekly MACD chart has generated a 'buy' signal, giving an edge to the bulls.

NEW DELHI: Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 5.18 crore), Adcon Capital Servic(numbers of share traded: 4.64 crore), Brightcom Group(numbers of share traded: 2.17 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 1.54 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 1.47 crore), Atreya Petro(numbers of share traded: 1.34 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 1.10 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 1.07 crore), Alstone Textiles(numbers of share traded: 0.96 crore) and Reliance Power(numbers of share traded: 0.90 crore) emerged top gainers in Monday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 59.75 points up at 18593.85, while BSE Sensex ended up 240.36 points at 62787.47.

On the other hand, Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.40 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.22 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.16 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.96 per cent) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 0.90 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
