Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 16.73 crore), HDFC Life(numbers of share traded: 3.61 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 2.59 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 1.96 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 1.52 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 1.30 crore), Rajnish Wellness(numbers of share traded: 1.17 crore), Reliance Power(numbers of share traded: 1.15 crore), MPS Infotecnics (numbers of share traded: 0.97 crore) and Alstone Textiles(numbers of share traded: 0.86 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 99.45 points down at 18534.4, while BSE Sensex ended down 346.89 points at 62622.24.

On the other hand, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 2.49 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 2.41 per cent), State Bank of India(down 2.18 per cent), Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 1.99 per cent) and Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(down 1.97 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
