Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 6.49 crore), South Indian Bnk(numbers of share traded: 2.36 crore), Radhe Deve(numbers of share traded: 2.00 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 1.86 crore), Atreya Petro(numbers of share traded: 1.46 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 1.30 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 1.15 crore), Excel Realty N Infr(numbers of share traded: 1.14 crore), G V Films(numbers of share traded: 1.03 crore) and Alstone Textiles(numbers of share traded: 1.02 crore) emerged top gainers in Friday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 17.8 points up at 18314.8, while BSE Sensex ended up 123.38 points at 62027.9.

On the other hand, Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 3.83 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 2.86 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 2.74 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(down 2.56 per cent) and UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 1.69 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
