Sensex rises! These stocks surged over 5% on BSE

NEW DELHI: A number of stocks surged as much as 5% or more in Friday's trade as Dalal Street closed higher for the day.

Equity benchmark Sensex ended the session up 113.95 points at 60950.36.

The top gainers included DC Infotech(up 9.99%), AXISCADES Engineeri(up 9.99%), Repco Home Fin(up 9.98%), Action Const.(up 9.83%), Smiths & Founders (up 9.83%), Visa Steel Ltd(up 9.78%), AmaraRaja Batteries(up 9.54%), Mafatlal Ind(up 9.35%), Chandra Prabhu(up 9.26%) and Indian Terrain(up 9.11%) which surged over 5% in today's trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, stocks such as Adani Ent.(up 6.76%), Hindalco(up 4.92%), Bajaj Finserv(up 4.48%), Adani Ports SEZ(up 3.48%) and JSW Steel(up 3.17%) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty 50 index ended 64.45 points up at 18117.15.

Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 27 shares ended in the green, while 23 closed in the red.
