Sensex rises! These stocks surged over 5% on BSE

NEW DELHI: A number of stocks surged as much as 5% or more in Wednesday's trade as Dalal Street closed higher for the day.

Equity benchmark Sensex ended the session up 146.59 points at 59107.19.

The top gainers included Rexnord Elec(up 10.0%), JBF Industries(up 10.0%), Paramone Concepts(up 10.0%), Electronics Mart India Ltd.(up 9.96%), Elixir Capital (up 9.95%), Hindustan Fluro(up 9.92%), Gokul Agro Resources(up 9.91%), Welcon International(up 9.78%), Gujarat Cotex(up 9.77%) and White Organic Agro (up 9.71%) which surged over 5% in today's trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, stocks such as HDFC(up 2.15%), Nestle India(up 1.81%), ITC(up 1.78%), RIL(up 1.74%) and Axis Bank(up 1.65%) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty 50 index ended 25.3 points up at 17512.25.

Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 17 shares ended in the green, while 33 closed in the red.
