Sensex rises! These stocks surged over 5% on BSE

NEW DELHI: A number of stocks surged as much as 5% or more in Friday's trade as Dalal Street closed higher for the day.

Equity benchmark Sensex ended the session up 89.13 points at 58387.93.

The top gainers included ASM Tech(up 10.0%), Somi Conveyor(up 10.0%), K P Energy Ltd.(up 10.0%), Tricom Fruit(up 10.0%), Cosmo Ferrites(up 9.99%), Creative Eye(up 9.98%), Delta Manufacturing(up 9.98%), Mystic Electronics (up 9.98%), Asit C Mehta(up 9.97%) and Moschip Tech(up 9.97%) which surged over 5% in today's trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, stocks such as UltraTech Cem.(up 2.84%), Shree Cements(up 2.66%), ICICI Bank(up 2.19%), UPL (up 1.60%) and Bharti Airtel(up 1.35%) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty 50 index ended 15.5 points up at 17397.50.

Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 28 shares ended in the green, while 22 closed in the red.
