Sensex rises! These stocks surged over 5% on BSE

NEW DELHI: A number of stocks surged as much as 5% or more in Monday's trade as Dalal Street closed higher for the day.

Equity benchmark Sensex ended the session up 433.3 points at 53161.28.

The top gainers included Sika Interplant(up 10.0%), CCL Intnl(up 10.0%), HB Estate Dev(up 10.0%), Donear Ind(up 10.0%), Trescon(up 10.0%), Tilak Ventures (PP)(up 10.0%), Gensol Engg(up 10.0%), Rupa & Co(up 9.99%), Tilak Ventures (up 9.99%) and Mehai Technology(up 9.98%) which surged over 5% in today's trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, stocks such as Coal India Ltd(up 3.12%), ONGC(up 3.02%), L&T(up 2.74%), Tech Mahindra(up 2.65%) and HCL Tech(up 2.65%) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty 50 index ended 132.8 points up at 15832.05.

Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 40 shares ended in the green, while 10 closed in the red.
