Sensex rises! These stocks surged over 5% on BSE

NEW DELHI: A number of stocks surged as much as 5% or more in Monday's trade as Dalal Street closed higher for the day.
Equity benchmark Sensex ended the session up 295.93 points at 57420.24.
The top gainers included Xtglobal Infotech(up 10.0%), Link Pharma(up 10.0%), Shri Krishna(up 10.0%), Duke Offshore(up 10.0%), Raw Edge Industrial(up 10.0%), Inflame Appliances(up 10.0%), Oasis Sec(up 9.99%), Birla Cable(up 9.98%), Indian Card Clothing(up 9.98%) and Rainbow Found(up 9.98%) which surged over 5% in today's trade.
In the Nifty 50 index, stocks such as Tech Mahindra(up 3.55%), Cipla(up 2.42%), Dr. Reddys(up 2.12%), Kotak Bank(up 1.43%) and UPL (up 1.31%) were among the top gainers.
The Nifty 50 index ended 82.5 points up at 17086.25.
Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 38 shares ended in the green, while 12 closed in the red.
