Sensex rises! These stocks surged over 5% on BSE

NEW DELHI: A number of stocks surged as much as 5% or more in Tuesday's trade as Dalal Street closed higher for the day.

Equity benchmark Sensex ended the session up 886.51 points at 57633.65.

The top gainers included Indo Thai Sec(up 10.0%), Innocorp Ltd(up 10.0%), ASM Tech(up 10.0%), Elegant Flori(up 10.0%), Roselabs Fin(up 10.0%), Oasis Sec(up 9.99%), Bedmutha Ind(up 9.99%), Aksh Optifibre(up 9.99%), Peninsula Land(up 9.99%) and PBA Infrastructure Ltd.(up 9.99%) which surged over 5% in today's trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, stocks such as Hindalco(up 5.02%), Tata Steel(up 3.61%), Axis Bank(up 3.60%), ICICI Bank(up 3.54%) and Tata Motors(up 3.13%) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty 50 index ended 264.45 points up at 17176.70.

Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 45 shares ended in the green, while 5 closed in the red.
