Sensex rises! These stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Palash Securities(20.0%), The Mandhana Retail(20.0%), Yashraj Contain(19.92%), SITI Networks (19.51%), Andrew Yule(19.15%), Franklin Leasing & F(18.74%), Indo Rama Synth(16.28%), VMS Industries(15.49%) and Dynamic Cables(15.48%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 144.61 points up at 62677.91, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 52.3 points up at 18660.3.


In the Nifty50 index, 34 stocks closed in the green, while 16 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Palash Securities, UCO Bank, Getalong Enterprises Ltd., GIC Housing Fin and Kerala Ayurveda hit their fresh 52-week high, while Cerebra Integrat, Sintex Inds., Rossari Biotech, Shree Ganesh Bio-Tec and Bal Pharma touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
