Sensex rises! These stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Ashoka Metcast(20.0%), RattanIndia Infra(20.0%), Advait Infratech(20.0%), New Light Apparels(20.0%), RO Jewels(19.99%), Morgan Ventures(19.96%), Kinetic Engg(19.95%), SPL Industries(19.95%), Utique Enterprises(19.93%) and Williamson Magor(19.93%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 417.92 points up at 60260.13, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 119.0 points up at 17944.25.


In the Nifty50 index, 34 stocks closed in the green, while 16 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Advait Infratech, RO Jewels, Nava Bharat Vent., S Chand & Co and Lehar Footwears hit their fresh 52-week high, while Saboo Sodium(PP), Wherrelz IT Solutions Ltd., Bajaj Hindusthan Su, DMR Hydroengineering & Infrastructure Ltd. and Jet Freight Logistic touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
