Sensex rises! These stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, GVK Power Infra(106.25%), Virgo Global (55.81%), DFM Foods(19.99%), Forbes Company(19.99%), KLRF Ltd(19.96%), KBS India(19.95%), Narbada Gems(19.92%), Williamson Magor(19.81%), Eros Media(18.32%) and AMD Industries(17.78%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 130.18 points up at 59462.78, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 39.15 points up at 17698.15.


In the Nifty50 index, 26 stocks closed in the green, while 24 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as GVK Power Infra, KBS India, AMD Industries, Roopa Ind and Hilton Metal hit their fresh 52-week high, while Narendra Investments, Kanchi Karpooram, Vardhman Concre, Birla Tyres and Future Retail touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
