Sensex rises! These stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Raj Television(20.0%), Orient Beverage(19.98%), Indo-City Info(19.96%), NDTV(19.52%), Olympia Ind(19.42%), Maha Corp Ltd(18.69%) and Omni Axs Software (15.81%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 629.91 points up at 55397.53, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 180.3 points up at 16520.85.


In the Nifty50 index, 35 stocks closed in the green, while 14 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Orient Beverage, Sky Gold, Paradeep Phosphates Ltd., Leading Leasing Fin and Northern Spirits hit their fresh 52-week high, while Transchem Ltd, Vikas Proppant & Gr, Shristi Infra, Setco Automotive and Gemstone Invst touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
