Sensex rises! These stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Seamec Ltd(19.55%), G M Polyplast(18.29%), Welspun Corp(17.37%), JK Lakshmi Cement(16.95%), Som Datt Fin(16.67%), Remsons Ind(16.55%), Arvind SmartSpaces(16.54%), Nava Bharat Vent.(15.87%), Kallam Textiles (15.54%) and Meghmani Finechem Ltd.(15.38%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 1534.16 points up at 54326.39, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 456.75 points up at 16266.15.


In the Nifty50 index, 48 stocks closed in the green, while 2 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Welspun Corp, Nava Bharat Vent., Grauer & Weil, Rose Merc. Ltd. and Praveg Comm hit their fresh 52-week high, while Pyxis Finvest, Garment Mantra Life, Prudent Corporate Advisory Services Ltd., Milestone Furniture and Concor touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
