Sensex rises! These stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Summit Sec(20.0%), Zuari Agro Chem(20.0%), Genus Paper Boards(20.0%), Gandhi Special(20.0%), SML Isuzu(20.0%), Shine Fashions(20.0%), Hitech Corporation (19.99%), Sanco Trans(19.98%), BCPL Railway Infra(19.98%) and Indbank Merc(19.96%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 1335.05 points up at 60611.74, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 382.95 points up at 18053.4.


In the Nifty50 index, 47 stocks closed in the green, while 3 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Genus Paper Boards, Zuari Agro Chem, Sanco Trans, Cosmo Films and Zuari Global hit their fresh 52-week high, while Maruti Interior Products Ltd., Asian Hotels(W), Evoq Remedies Ltd., Olympic Oil and A & M Febcon touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
