Sensex rises! These stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Safa Systems & Technologies Ltd.(57.3%), Adani Wilmar Ltd.(19.98%), Shalibhadra Fin(19.98%), Ugar Sugar Work(19.95%), Saven Tech(19.93%), RMC Switchgears(19.83%), ICL Organic Dairy(19.17%), Naysaa Securities(17.98%), Deep Industries Ltd.(17.39%) and Weizmann Ltd(16.41%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 657.39 points up at 58465.97, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 197.05 points up at 17463.8.


In the Nifty50 index, 42 stocks closed in the green, while 8 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Safa Systems & Technologies Ltd., Adani Wilmar Ltd., Shalibhadra Fin, Ugar Sugar Work and Naysaa Securities hit their fresh 52-week high, while RCL Retail Ltd., Fabino Life Sciences Ltd., Ovobel Foods Ltd, Suvidha Infra and Orchid Pharma touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
