Sensex rises! These stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Supriya Lifescience Ltd.(42.46%), Shiva Mills(20.0%), Jubilant Ind(20.0%), Electrotherm(20.0%), Poojawestern Metalik(20.0%), Metal Coatings(20.0%), Advait Infratech(20.0%), Alphageo (19.99%), Uniphos Enter(19.98%) and Vama Industries(19.98%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 477.24 points up at 57897.48, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 147.0 points up at 17233.25.


In the Nifty50 index, 47 stocks closed in the green, while 3 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Supriya Lifescience Ltd., Shiva Mills, Poojawestern Metalik, Jubilant Ind and Swasti Vinayaka hit their fresh 52-week high, while G G Engineering, RCL Retail Ltd., Janus Corporation, Naturite Agro Pr and Shyamkamal Invst touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
