Sensex rises! These stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, G V Films(20.00%), SER Industries Ltd.(19.98%), Universal Cable(17.13%), BMW Ind(17.03%), Ashima Ltd(16.56%) and Atharv Enterprises(16.50%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 294.85 points up at 80796.84, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 114.46 points up at 24461.15.


In the Nifty50 index, 38 stocks closed in the green, while 12 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as SER Industries Ltd., Everest Org, Parmax Pharma, POCL Enterprises and Synergy Green Ind hit their fresh 52-week high, while Indian Info Sof, Dalmia Industrial Development, Gensol Engg, Tirth Plastic Ltd. and ND Metal Ind touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
