Sensex rises! These stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Parmeshwari Silk(20.00%), Malu Paper Mill(19.98%), VMV Holidays Ltd.(19.84%), Paras Defence(17.03%), PBA Infra(15.33%) and Data Patterns(India)(15.32%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 70.01 points up at 80288.38, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 7.46 points up at 24335.95.


In the Nifty50 index, 19 stocks closed in the green, while 31 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Parmeshwari Silk, Kilitch Drug, Everest Org, Mazagon Dock Ship and Manorama Ind hit their fresh 52-week high, while GI Engineering, Sharanam Infra, Thakral Service, K&R Rail Engineering and Gensol Engg touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
