Sensex rises! These stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Raj Oil Mills(20.00%), Soma Textiles(20.00%), Manaksia Aluminium(19.99%), SecMark Consultancy(19.99%), Hathway Bhawani(19.98%), Archidply Decor(19.98%), Pentokey Organy(19.97%), Mid India Ind(19.85%), Abhinav Leasing(19.35%) and Uniroyal Ind(18.28%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 309.4 points up at 77044.29, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 108.66 points up at 23437.2.


In the Nifty50 index, 33 stocks closed in the green, while 17 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Sanathan Textiles, Sofcom Systems, Ajax Engineering, Gallantt Metal and Pankaj Polymers hit their fresh 52-week high, while Gensol Engg, Thakral Service, Boston Bio Systems Ltd., Golden Tobacco and Maitri Enterprises touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
