Sensex rises! These stocks are up over 5% on BSE

NEW DELHI: A number of stocks surged as much as 5% or more in Thursday's trade on Dalal Street as benchmark Sensex traded 1179.11 points up at 55826.44 level on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Among these top gainers were CL Educate(up 10.0%), Texmo Pipe Prod(up 9.99%), Chothani Foods(up 9.98%), Omkar Speciality(up 9.95%), Oracle Credit(up 9.93%), DiGiSPICE Tech(up 9.88%), Ontic Finserve(up 9.83%), Maestros Elec(up 9.52%), PPAP Automotive (up 9.45%) and Patel Integrat(PP)(up 9.44%).

In the Nifty 50 index, the top gainers included Tata Motors(up 6.42%), Axis Bank(up 5.41%), SBI(up 4.12%), Maruti Suzuki(up 4.01%) and Grasim Inds.(up 3.95%).


The Nifty 50 index was trading 335.85 points higher at 16681.20.

Among the 50 components in the Nifty pack, 47 shares traded in the green, while 3 traded in the red.
