Sensex rises! These stocks are up over 5% on BSE

NEW DELHI: A number of stocks surged as much as 5% or more in Wednesday's trade on Dalal Street as benchmark Sensex traded 162.51 points up at 61512.77 level on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Among these top gainers were Hindustan Hardy(up 10.0%), Usha Martin(up 9.91%), James Warren Tea(up 9.16%), Saumya Consultants(up 9.14%), B&A Ltd(up 8.73%), Nalin Lease Fin(up 8.41%), Sarthak Metals(up 7.88%), Zensar Tech(up 7.76%), IRIS Business Servic(up 7.48%) and Tatva Chintan Pharma Chem Ltd.(up 7.48%).

In the Nifty 50 index, the top gainers included Asian Paints(up 4.99%), Divis Labs(up 2.52%), SBI(up 1.56%), SBI Life(up 1.47%) and ICICI Bank(up 1.45%).


The Nifty 50 index was trading 47.1 points higher at 18315.50.

Among the 50 components in the Nifty pack, 30 shares traded in the green, while 19 traded in the red.
