Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday's session

In the Nifty pack, 34 stocks closed in the green, while 16 stocks ended in the red.

Nifty moved in a tight range of 82 points, and ended slightly below the psychologically crucial level of 15,700.
NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 169.87 points up at 60300.58 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Atam Valves(down 14.91 per cent), Diggi Multitrade(down 14.23 per cent), Universal Office(down 11.57 per cent), Jasch Ind(down 11.08 per cent) and iStreet Network(down 10.00 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 34 stocks closed in the green, while 16 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 44.35 points up at 17813.6.

On the BSE, Radhe Deve, Chandni Machines, Palm Jewels, Premier Synth and Aavas Financiers hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Barak Valley, Valencia Nutrition L, RS Software, Saksoft Ltd and Banswara Syntex touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
