Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday's session

Nifty moved in a tight range of 82 points, and ended slightly below the psychologically crucial level of 15,700.
NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 346.37 points up at 57960.09 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Mirza Intnl(down 86.25 per cent), Brightcom Group(down 19.96 per cent), Dhanvarsha Finvest(down 19.62 per cent), Vaarad Ventures(down 17.85 per cent) and Tiaan Ayurvedic & He(down 15.65 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 43 stocks closed in the green, while 6 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 129.0 points up at 17080.7.

On the BSE, Mirza Intnl, Brightcom Group, Dhanvarsha Finvest, Vaarad Ventures and Tiaan Ayurvedic & He hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Asian Hotels, Ranjeet Mechatronics, Navigant Corporate A, Ingersoll-Rand and Zen Tech touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
