Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 448.96 points up at 59411.08 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, SM Auto(down 15.74 per cent), Shashwat Furnishing Solutions Ltd.(down 13.69 per cent), Manaksia Aluminium(down 10.40 per cent), Nyssa Corporation (down 10.28 per cent) and Bothra Metals(down 10.07 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 43 stocks closed in the green, while 7 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 146.95 points up at 17450.9.
On the BSE, Shashwat Furnishing Solutions Ltd., USG Tech, Adeshwar Meditex Ltd., Anand Rayons and Vision Cinemas hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Macfos Ltd., Uni Abex Alloy, Suryalata Spin, Triveni Turbine and Foseco India touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
