Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 144.61 points up at 62677.91 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Tanvi Foods(India)(down 12.62 per cent), Steel Strips(down 11.52 per cent), Aadi Industries Ltd.(down 10.00 per cent), Cerebra Integrat(down 9.98 per cent) and Paragon Finance(down 9.98 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 34 stocks closed in the green, while 16 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 52.3 points up at 18660.3.
On the BSE, Cerebra Integrat, Sintex Inds., Rossari Biotech, Shree Ganesh Bio-Tec and Bal Pharma hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Palash Securities, UCO Bank, Getalong Enterprises Ltd., GIC Housing Fin and Kerala Ayurveda touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
