Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday's session

In the Nifty pack, 42 stocks closed in the green, while 8 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 417.81 points up at 63099.65 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Achyut Healthcare Ltd.(down 10.00 per cent), Ganesh Films India(down 8.70 per cent), Vishal Bearings Ltd.(down 7.75 per cent), Ishita Drugs(down 7.69 per cent) and BDH Industries(down 7.46 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 42 stocks closed in the green, while 8 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 140.3 points up at 18758.35.

On the BSE, Dhruv Wellness, Pace E-Commerce Ventures Ltd., Welcure Drugs, Nureca Ltd. and Fundviser Cap hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Likhitha Infra, Technopack Polymers Ltd., Kaycee Ind, SBC Exports and HUDCO touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
