Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 629.91 points up at 55397.53 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Transchem Ltd(down 13.00 per cent), DJ Mediaprint & Logi(down 10.55 per cent), Vikas Proppant & Gr(down 10.00 per cent), Talbros Engineering(down 9.97 per cent) and Glittek Granite(down 9.84 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 35 stocks closed in the green, while 14 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 180.3 points up at 16520.85.
On the BSE, Transchem Ltd, Vikas Proppant & Gr, Shristi Infra, Setco Automotive and Gemstone Invst hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Orient Beverage, Sky Gold, Paradeep Phosphates Ltd., Leading Leasing Fin and Northern Spirits touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
