Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 1223.24 points up at 54647.33 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, AKM Lace and Embrote(down 13.49 per cent), RCL Retail Ltd.(down 11.21 per cent), Pecos Hotels & Pubs(down 7.91 per cent), Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works Ltd.(down 7.84 per cent) and Creative Casting(down 7.50 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

The index closed 331.9 points up at 16345.35.
On the BSE, RCL Retail Ltd., U P Hotels Ltd., Abhishek Infraventur, Tarini International and Eastern Treads hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Oracle Credit, Chothani Foods, Dwarikesh Sugar, Ugar Sugar Work and Decillion Finance touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
