Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 520.9 points up at 80116.49 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, India Lease Dev(down 11.56 per cent), Alfa Ica(down 10.13 per cent), Raghunath Intnl(down 10.00 per cent), Kanungo Financiers(down 9.96 per cent) and Bothra Metals(down 9.95 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 39 stocks closed in the green, while 11 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 161.71 points up at 24328.95.

On the BSE, Maha Corp Ltd, Sterling Guar, Gensol Engg, Dhruva Capital and Nettlinx Ltd hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Country Condos, Bemco Hydraulic, Choice Intnl, Rama Phosphates and Ritesh Intnl touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
