Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 740.3 points up at 73730.23 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Navoday Enterprises(down 20.00 per cent), B C Power Controls(down 19.93 per cent), Ishaan Infrastru(down 18.70 per cent), Escorp Asset Mgmt(down 10.00 per cent) and Thirdwave Financial(down 9.98 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 45 stocks closed in the green, while 5 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 254.65 points up at 22337.3.

On the BSE, IndInfravit Trust, Gensol Engg, Axel Polymers, Newtime Infra. and Nettlinx Ltd hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Triumph International Finance India Ltd., Avanti Feeds, Sobhagya Mercantile, Bodhtree Consult and Gyan Developers touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
