Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 73.8 points up at 81785.56 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Shashijit Infraprojects(down 19.90 per cent), ASI Industries (down 11.70 per cent), Navoday Enterprises(down 11.25 per cent), Pharmaids Pharm(down 9.99 per cent) and Mega Nirman & Ind(down 9.85 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 21 stocks closed in the green, while 29 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 34.6 points up at 25052.35.
On the BSE, Ellora Trading Ltd., Interarch Building, Shiva Suitings, Mahalaxmi Fabric Mil and Globale Tessile hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Prem Somani Financial, Simplex Realty, Disha Resources, Tokyo Plast Int and Bella Casa Fashion touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
