Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday's session

In the Nifty pack, 23 stocks closed in the green, while 27 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 149.85 points up at 79105.88 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Starline Precious(down 20.00 per cent), T & I Global(down 19.75 per cent), DHP India(down 19.38 per cent), Captain Polyplast(down 15.82 per cent) and Innovative Tech(down 15.70 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 23 stocks closed in the green, while 27 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 4.75 points up at 24143.75.

On the BSE, T & I Global, DHP India, SRU Steels, Nirmitee Robotics and Unicommerce eSolutio hit their fresh 52-week lows, while CIAN Agro Ind, Pee Cee Cosma, Pokarna Ltd, Kitex Garments and Kriti Nutrients touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
