Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 620.73 points up at 78674.25 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Neil Industries(down 10.21 per cent), Safa Systems & Tech(down 9.98 per cent), ST Corporation(down 9.98 per cent), Sayaji Hotels(down 9.95 per cent) and Trinity League(down 9.71 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 25 stocks closed in the green, while 25 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 147.5 points up at 23868.8.

On the BSE, Sawaca Business, Mudunuru, Vegetable Products, KCL Infra Proj and Future Supply Chain hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Weizmann Ltd, Computer Point, Yamuna Syndicate, Fiberweb India and Hardcastle Waud touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
