Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday's session

In the Nifty pack, 11 stocks closed in the green, while 39 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 36.45 points up at 77337.59 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Inditrade Capital (down 19.99 per cent), Jetmall Spices(down 18.41 per cent), Banas Finance(down 12.30 per cent), GCM Capital Adv.(down 10.00 per cent) and Money Masters(down 9.96 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 11 stocks closed in the green, while 39 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 41.91 points down at 23516.0.

On the BSE, Inditrade Capital, Divgi Torqtransfer, SecUR Credentials, Vegetable Products and Source Ind hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Sharda Ispat, Windsor Machine, Kalyani Forge, Tera Software and LE Travenues Techno touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
