Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday's session

In the Nifty pack, 30 stocks closed in the green, while 20 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 267.75 points up at 74221.06 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, PlatinumOne Business(down 12.89 per cent), Amkay Products(down 12.53 per cent), Nat Gen Ind(down 10.00 per cent), Sai Swami Metals and(down 9.99 per cent) and Peeti Sec(down 9.92 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 30 stocks closed in the green, while 20 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 68.75 points up at 22597.8.

On the BSE, Mefcom Capital, Revathi Equip, Brightcom Group, Sylph Tech and Deccan Health Care hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Wall Street Fin, Ausom Enterprise, GeeCee Ventures, Tainwala Chem and GE Power India touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
