Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday's session

In the Nifty pack, 28 stocks closed in the green, while 22 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 114.49 points up at 73852.94 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Umiya Tubes Ltd.(down 11.43 per cent), SVJ Enterprises(down 10.00 per cent), Golkonda Aluminium (down 9.98 per cent), Mayur Floorings(down 9.92 per cent) and Atal Realtech(down 9.92 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 28 stocks closed in the green, while 22 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 34.41 points up at 22402.4.

On the BSE, Atal Realtech, Kuberan Global Edu, Future Supply Chain, Adcon Capital Servic and Integrated Hitech Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Raj Oil Mills, Citadel Realty, Balurghat Tech, Panchmahal Steel and Chennai Petro touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
