Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday's session

In the Nifty pack, 30 stocks closed in the green, while 19 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 213.27 points up at 65433.3 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Panacea Biotec(down 11.68 per cent), Relicab Cable Manufa(down 11.32 per cent), Captain Technocast(down 10.00 per cent), Jet Infraventure(down 9.76 per cent) and Viji Finance(down 9.69 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 30 stocks closed in the green, while 19 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 47.55 points up at 19444.0.

On the BSE, Swagruha Infra, Jio Financial Servic, Omkar Pharma, Decorous Investme and GSL Securities hit their fresh 52-week lows, while SilverpointInfra, Walchand People, Media Matrix, Atul Auto and Inter State Oil touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
