Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Tuesday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 177.04 points up at 62681.84 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Wherrelz IT Solutions Ltd.(down 12.50 per cent), Anjani Finance(down 10.00 per cent), VEER Energy(down 9.86 per cent), Olympic Cards(down 9.41 per cent) and Laurus Labs(down 9.33 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 25 stocks closed in the green, while 25 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 55.3 points up at 18618.05.

On the BSE, Laurus Labs, Jointeca Edu, Jump Networks, Dhruv Wellness and Jayatma Enterprises hit their fresh 52-week lows, while SBC Exports, Refex Industries, Axita Cotton, Aditya Birla Cap. and Bengal Assam Co touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
