Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Tuesday's session

In the Nifty pack, 40 stocks closed in the green, while 10 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 549.62 points up at 58960.6 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Prime Fresh(down 17.30 per cent), Beryl Drugs(down 17.22 per cent), PSP Projects(down 10.59 per cent), Ind Renewable Energ(down 10.47 per cent) and Dynemic Product(down 10.42 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 40 stocks closed in the green, while 10 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 175.15 points up at 17486.95.

On the BSE, Motherson Sumi, Omkar Speciality, GVK Power Infra, Unison Metals and Mehai Technology hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Containe Technologies Ltd., Data Patterns(India)Ltd., Panorama Studios Int, Dynamic Cables and Orient Refractories touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
