Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Tuesday's session

In the Nifty pack, 33 stocks closed in the green, while 16 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 455.95 points up at 60571.08 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Ekennis Software Service Ltd.(down 10.00 per cent), Kaarya Facilities(down 9.96 per cent), Nyssa Corporation (down 9.53 per cent), Royal India Corp(down 9.39 per cent) and 7NR Retail Ltd.(down 8.99 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 33 stocks closed in the green, while 16 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 133.7 points up at 18070.05.

On the BSE, Dipna Pharmachem Ltd., A F Enterprises, Rhetan TMT Ltd., Ind Bank Hous and Dhampur Bio Organics Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while TRF Ltd, DB Corp., Tata Investment, Modern Dairies and Shriram Asset touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
