Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Tuesday's session

In the Nifty pack, 37 stocks closed in the green, while 12 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 581.34 points up at 53424.09 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, RCL Retail Ltd.(down 10.77 per cent), Supra Pacific Manage(down 10.26 per cent), Modipon Ltd(down 10.00 per cent), Pecos Hotels & Pubs(down 9.80 per cent) and Patel Integrat(down 9.45 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

The index closed 150.3 points up at 16013.45.

On the BSE, RCL Retail Ltd., Valencia Nutrition L, JK Cement, McNally Bharat and G G Engineering hit their fresh 52-week lows, while U P Hotels Ltd., Mawana Sugars, Kennametal India, Prime Fresh and Future Enterprises (DVR)touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
