Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Tuesday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 317.45 points up at 82570.91 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Raghunath Intnl(down 19.64 per cent), Continental Cont(down 10.00 per cent), Fervent Syn(down 9.97 per cent), JP Power(down 9.91 per cent) and Kapil Raj Finance(down 9.84 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 35 stocks closed in the green, while 15 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 113.5 points up at 25195.8.

On the BSE, Roadstar Infra Inves, Raghunath Intnl, Tejas Networks, LCC Infotech and Vantage Knowledge hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Swaraj Engines, Amal Ltd, Kalpa Commercial Ltd., Soma Textiles and Nesco Ltd touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
