Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Tuesday's session

In the Nifty pack, 19 stocks closed in the green, while 31 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 70.01 points up at 80288.38 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Karnimata Cold Store(down 19.45 per cent), Superior Finlease(down 13.71 per cent), Shree Krishna Infras(down 11.78 per cent), SSPDL Ltd(down 11.09 per cent) and Chordia Food(down 10.84 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 19 stocks closed in the green, while 31 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 7.46 points up at 24335.95.

On the BSE, GI Engineering, Sharanam Infra, Thakral Service, K&R Rail Engineering and Gensol Engg hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Parmeshwari Silk, Kilitch Drug, Everest Org, Mazagon Dock Ship and Manorama Ind touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
