Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Tuesday's session

In the Nifty pack, 13 stocks closed in the green, while 22 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 187.09 points up at 79595.59 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Shree Krishna Infras(down 18.00 per cent), MAC Hotels(down 15.86 per cent), Pasupati Spinning (down 10.31 per cent), Ekennis Software Service(down 10.00 per cent) and Rajasthan Gases(down 8.89 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 13 stocks closed in the green, while 22 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 41.71 points up at 24167.25.

On the BSE, Bhakti Gems & Jewellery, Nam Securities, Dhruva Capital, Gensol Engg and Sterling Guar hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Dalmia Industrial Development, Bemco Hydraulic, Shri Jagdamba, Vadilal Ind and Sika Interplant touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
