Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Tuesday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 1089.18 points up at 74227.08 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Shree Krishna Infras(down 18.18 per cent), Bandaram Pharma Pack(down 15.41 per cent), Spenta Intnl(down 14.12 per cent), Kanpur Plastip(down 11.55 per cent) and Solid Stone(down 11.03 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 49 stocks closed in the green, while 1 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 374.25 points up at 22535.85.

On the BSE, Boston Bio Systems Ltd., SRU Steels, A F Enterprises, Aaswa Trading and Savani Fin hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Shivansh Finserve, Dhanashree Electro, Cura Tech, Mangalore Chem and India Shelter Finance Corp touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
