Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Tuesday's session

In the Nifty pack, 19 stocks closed in the green, while 31 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 147.71 points up at 74602.12 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Chartered Cap(down 17.70 per cent), ETT Ltd(down 16.19 per cent), Pearl Green Clubs(down 15.00 per cent), Reliable Ventures India(down 13.36 per cent) and Angel Fibers(down 11.42 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 19 stocks closed in the green, while 31 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 5.8 points down at 22547.55.

On the BSE, Freshtrop Fruit, Indoco Remedies, Hathway Bhawani, Vineet Laboratories and AGS Transact Tech hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Narayana Hruday, Dhanlaxmi Cotex, Gyan Developers, Rubra Medica and Hira Automobiles touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
