Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Tuesday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 169.62 points up at 76499.63 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Longview Tea(down 17.72 per cent), Palash Securities(down 11.04 per cent), Nova Pub(down 10.89 per cent), Kakatiya Text(down 10.46 per cent) and Diggi Multitrade(down 10.08 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 34 stocks closed in the green, while 16 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 90.1 points at 23176.05.
On the BSE, Rose Merc. Ltd., Vinaditya Trad, Envair Electro, Trescon and Cybele Ind hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Goldiam Intnl, Indokem Ltd, Amal Ltd, Hilltone Soft&Gases and Sri Chakra Cement touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
