Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Tuesday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 363.99 points up at 80369.03 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Shankar Lal Rampal(down 19.98 per cent), Spandana Sphoorty(down 17.47 per cent), IFB Industries(down 16.86 per cent), KK Shah Hospitals(down 15.90 per cent) and Gravity(India)(down 15.60 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 31 stocks closed in the green, while 18 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 127.7 points at 24466.85.

On the BSE, Shankar Lal Rampal, Spandana Sphoorty, Ashapura Minechem, ideaForge Technology and Rajnish Wellness hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Elcid Investments, The Anup Engg, Dynamic Cables, Ami Organics and SJS Enterprises touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
