Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Tuesday's session

In the Nifty pack, 26 stocks closed in the green, while 24 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 349.24 points up at 73057.4 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Navoday Enterprises(down 10.43 per cent), Uniroyal Ind(down 10.00 per cent), Dipna Pharmachem(down 10.00 per cent), Jaipan Ind(down 9.98 per cent) and Trivikrama Ind(down 9.97 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 26 stocks closed in the green, while 24 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 74.71 points up at 22196.95.

On the BSE, Gayatri BioOrg, D P Wires, Capital Small Financ, Taaza International and Redex Protech hit their fresh 52-week lows, while TPI India, Infronic Sys, GRP Ltd, Kesar Enterpr and Shervani Ind touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
